Welcome to our 9th instalment of Me Time, our series of single-hopped IPAs. The series that gives hops a bit of Me Time; time to find themselves. In this edition, we introduce you to Riwaka. Originally known as Saaz D, Riwaka has been one of New Zealand's most famous and hard to get hops. It was officially released to the brewing
world in 1997. It is an incredibly hard hop to grow and has a tiny yield (nearly all hop growers hate growing it). In Behemoth’s early days we simply could not get any. It took a crazy set of circumstances for us to get our hands on some.
