Moriau was a lambic blendery founded in 1880, in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw by Johannes Moriau. Moriau originally was a brickmaker, who began working as a brewer at Brouwerij Merlo in Uccle. He was more interested in the beer trade, so he built his own warehouse for a blendery. Johannes' son Leopold later took over the business, from 1920-1956, then it was passed to his sons Jan and Pierre. At the height of production in 1958. Moriau geuze is still produced today by Frank Boon. Aroma of grapefruit, mustiness, white grapes, horseblanket, earth and grass. Flavour of grapefruit, light yougurt and lemon.
