Lamma Island is the place we originated. It is also home to wild wampi trees, which only fruit for a short season each year. Wampi is the hidden gem of Southeast Asian fruit with a phenomenally spicy, juicy, citrus-like character. We set out on a mission- to create a beer that reflects both Lamma Islands creative unique character, as well as showcase the lush and bountiful landscape that is this small green island off the coast of Hong Kong. Working with South Lamma’s Mo Tat Wan community and with the assistance of our good friend David Hopley, we foraged 35kg of fragrant wild wampi berries and brewed this limited-edition sour. Tart and juicy, complex and refreshing, this foraged sour is about as Lamma as you can get!
